CINNNAMON is pleased to present new work by Janneke van der Putten (Amsterdam, 1985, lives and works in Rotterdam), including video, performance, a workshop and textiles. Van der Putten discusses the theme “Quitsato” – or: the middle of the world – an old Ecuadorian concept about the geographical and astronomical perception of the sun and cyclical time measurement. The exhibition, entitled Quitsa, is a follow-up to previous presentations All Begins With A at TENT (Rotterdam, 2015) and Directed to the Sun at Atelierhaus Quartier am Hafen (Cologne, 2017).
On January 7, Janneke van der Putten will lead the ‘Voice and Space’ workshop at the gallery. For more information on participation, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
